How to split a PDF

  1. Upload your PDF

Drag and drop the PDF you want to divide, or click to browse. Files up to 50MB are supported.

  2. Choose a split mode

Enter one or more page ranges (like 1-3 and 4-10), or choose to extract every page as its own file.

  3. Split

Click Split PDF — the document is divided instantly in your browser, with no upload.

  4. Download each file

Save the resulting PDFs individually. Each download is named after its page range.

Split PDF — frequently asked questions

Can I extract just one page from a PDF?

Yes. Enter a range like 5-5 to pull out a single page, or use the every-page mode to get all pages as separate files at once.

Is my document uploaded when I split it?

No. Splitting happens entirely in your browser. The file never reaches our servers, and closing the tab removes everything.

Can ranges overlap?

Yes. Ranges like 1-3 and 2-5 are allowed — each range simply produces its own output file containing those pages.

What happens if I enter a page number that doesn't exist?

You'll get a clear error telling you the range exceeds the document's page count, so you can correct it before splitting.
