Edit PDF — frequently asked questions
Can I edit the existing text of a PDF?
The editor adds new content — text boxes, highlights, and shapes — and manages pages (reorder, rotate, delete). Rewriting existing paragraph text isn't supported; for that, convert the PDF to Word, edit it there, and convert back.
Are my edits applied in the browser or on a server?
You build the edits visually in your browser, and nothing is uploaded until you click Apply. Then the PDF and your edit list are sent to our server, applied, and returned on a private link that auto-deletes within 2 hours.
Can I undo a change?
Yes. Annotations have an undo button, deleted pages can be restored before applying, and nothing is final until you click Apply edits. Your original file on your device is never modified.
Will the edited PDF work in other readers?
Yes. The output is a standard PDF — page changes and annotations are saved into the file itself and display in Adobe Reader, browsers, and mobile viewers.
