Merge PDF — frequently asked questions

How many PDFs can I merge at once?

There is no fixed limit on the number of files — merge as many as you need, as long as each file is under 50MB. Very large combinations are limited only by your device's memory.

Does merging upload my files to a server?

Merging runs in your browser. We also store temporary copies (inputs and the result) on our servers for up to 2 hours so you can download later or delete them with one click. After 2 hours, files and related records are removed automatically.

Will the merged PDF keep the original quality?

Yes. Pages are copied into the combined document without re-encoding, so text, images, and formatting stay exactly as they were.

Can I merge only some pages from each PDF?

Yes. In the sidebar, edit the page range for each file using printer-style syntax such as 1-3,5 or 2-10. By default every page is included.

Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

Yes. You'll be asked for the password when an encrypted file is detected. The password is used only for the merge and never stored.
